Save additional exercise details with Setgraph notes
Whether you want to record form adjustments, progress insights, or personal reminders, the Notes feature helps you stay organized and improve over time.
But not all notes are the same in Setgraph! There are two types: Exercise Notes and List Notes. In this guide, we'll explain how each type works and how you can use them to maximize your workout efficiency.
What Are Exercise Notes?

To add a note to your exercises, you may tap the three dots on the top right corner of the exercise and select the "Add Exercise Note" option as show in this image.
Exercise Notes are attached to specific exercises within your workouts. These notes are ideal for logging details about a particular movement, such as:
Proper form cues (e.g., “Keep core tight during squats”)
Adjustments based on previous workouts (e.g., “Try a wider grip on bench press”)
Equipment settings (e.g., “Set cable machine to level 4”)
Pain or discomfort tracking (e.g., “Right shoulder feels tight – reduce weight next time”)
Since Exercise Notes are tied to an individual exercise, they remain accessible whenever you perform that movement in future sessions. This makes it easy to refine technique and track long-term progress.
What Are List Notes?

You can add a List Note by tapping the three dots in the top right corner of the list. Select ‘Edit List Notes’ to bring up the screen shown above, where you can add a note for each exercise in the list.
List Notes, on the other hand, are more general and apply to an entire workout session rather than a specific exercise. These are great for:
Summarizing overall workout performance (e.g., “Felt stronger today, increased volume”)
Writing down general thoughts on recovery, fatigue, or energy levels
Creating a pre-workout checklist (e.g., “Stretch hamstrings before deadlifts”)
Adding motivational reminders (e.g., “Stay consistent – one step closer to goals!”)
Unlike Exercise Notes, List Notes provide a broader view of your training, making them useful for high-level tracking and planning.
Why Use Notes?
